Are you getting enough sleep? How much sleep do you actually need?

In 2015 the National Sleep Foundation updated their sleep duration recommendations[1]. This study provided recommendations for sleep durations for specific age groups. It is stated that sleep can strongly influence many aspects of health including physical, cognitive and emotional health. Therefore, the recommendations are:

Young Adults (18-25): 7-9 hours

Adults (26-64): 7-9 hours

Older Adults (≥ 64): 7-8 hours

It is recognised that minimum and maximum sleep durations exist for each age group. So are you getting enough sleep according to these recommendations?
